The main significance of this dialogue is highlighting the importance of complete devotion to the Lord which gives deep insight into philosophical principles contained in the Vedanta. It is well known that the Bhagavata throughout, unlike other Puranas, is composed in a style which is abstruse, archaic and involved. Besides, its vocabulary is full of Vedic words and phrases, sometimes exactly reproduced from the vast vedic literature. Its grammatical formations are very often modeled on the Vedas and also many times non-Paninian.
