Dr. S. Murali is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Jyothisha at The Madras Sanskrit College, Chennai, where he has been serving since 2016. Specializing in Jyothisha Shastra, he teaches courses covering Phalitham, Prashnam, and Muhurtham for both classroom-based and online learning programs. He completed his Ph.D. in Jyothisha with a doctoral specialization in Prashna Shastra from Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Viswa Mahavidyalaya, Kanchipuram. In addition to his faculty duties, he serves as the warden of the college hostel.
Dr. Murali is actively engaged in ongoing research in Indian knowledge systems, currently pursuing advanced studies in Bharatiya Ganita Shastra under the Veda Shastra Parirakshana Sabha. He is fluent in Sanskrit and Tamil, with proficiency in English and Hindi.
